So, how are you supposed to keep motivated when you’re sick again?

Oh hello there!

 

So, hilarious story – I got sick about two weeks ago.
Isn’t it really typical that when you’re trying to go on a new diet, or a new lifestyle change – your body decides that really, it hates life and you know what – have some side of illness alongside your salad.  If you don’t know what I’m talking about – you suck at being like one of the 1% of the population I swear it doesn’t affect.

Alas,  yes.   Rewind two weeks ago and I came down with a cold and sore throat. I didn’t think much of it – I work normally in a pretty germ infested (gross) environment and figured that cold+flu and lozenges would give me a hand.

Well – no.
I was wrong.

After having a heap of difficult breathing (yikes) and swallowing (not fun) over the weekend – took a trip to the doctors to find out I’ve developed a severe throat infection.
I’m going to promptly tell you now – it’s not fun in the slightest. But, on the bright side – does explain why my throat feels like there’s someone closing a trap door in the pipes every few minutes.

 

Admittedly, this revelation and new course of antibiotics isn’t my greatest achievement in life. However  – I will say that I am super proud of myself that even though I’ve felt like rubbish for the last few weeks – my diet hasn’t been overly affected. I’ve been super good at tracking my calories, and only had two days really where I’ve kind of looked at my intake and went, “Hmm, yeah, probably should have made a wiser decision to be honest.”  – so I’m going to count that as a win.
